Samarpan Meditation is part of a worldwide mission and operated in Canada by Shree Shivkrupanand Swami Foundation Canada – La Foundation S.S.S. Canada– with H.H. Shree Shivkrupanand Swami of Dandi, Gujarat (India) as our Spiritual Master.
The foundation is a registered Charitable Organisation with elected Trustees and office-bearers. All the programs of the Foundation are carried out free of cost by volunteers, across Canada through centers presently in the provinces of Newfoundland, Quebec, Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia.
The Foundation promotes the teaching of the Samarpan Meditation, which is an 800-year-old technique, evolved in the Himalayan Mountains, that offers a simple way to connect with Nature, both within oneself and outside.
The journey of propagating Samarpan Dhyanyog in Canada began in 2001 from Montreal and Toronto and has spread to the community at large since. We currently have centers in the province of Newfoundland at St. John’s; in Quebec at Montreal, Laval, and our main one (shortly to be) in Saint Colomban; In Ontario at Brampton, North York. Etobicoke, Hamilton, and Kitchener-Waterloo (Ontario); In Alberta at Edmonton and Calgary; and in British Columbia at Surrey. Always free of any fees, and ever since our inception, we have been offering meditation workshops to all age groups. We have also been involved in sharing Samarpan Meditation to school children, senior centers, and to the public and corporate sector. In this technique, a human being, regardless of one’s race, religion, language, country, or gender can connect to the Universal Consciousness through the vision imparted by Sadguru Shree Shivkrupanand Swami and evolve as a better being, outside or within one’s own religious tenet, if any. As such this technique is being practiced by people of different faiths and religions in more than 25 countries worldwide. The theme of the whole World, as one Family (‘Vasudeva Kutumbakam’), is made manifest spontaneously by the collectivity of people as Pure and Divine Souls from the world over. This, in turn, is felt to provide a protective aura and healing energy that our world needs so much now.
With this practice, Nature’s counterpart, the pure and divine Soul within, come to dominate the mind, and such problems of life as a feeling of failure and insecurity, stress, depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, as well as substance abuse and guilt and anger begin to fade away on their own.
The uniqueness of this technique is that there are no restrictions placed on the practitioner with reference to habits and lifestyle. One does not have to give up anything in life, but as one progresses all that is negative drops off on its own and the good remains. There are no rituals, nor initiations, nor any religious connotations involved in this.
All that is required for a Samarpan Dhyanyog Practitioner, to begin with, is to sit down and practice meditation for 30 minutes a day, to slowly become a joyful hobby of surrendering to one’s own Soul. As one progresses in mediation, one starts having an experience of one’s true Self and progressively of Universal Consciousness or Universal Energy.
